FAQ

What is your approach and editing style?

These words come to mind: natural, genuine, minimalist, and timeless. On a wedding day there are so many moments to be captured. Years of experience have trained me to anticipate and be ready for these moments. My goal is to capture every genuine laugh, every tear, every emotional or hilarious moment of each wedding I photograph. To capture these moments organically, I mainly use natural light, but occasionally use flash or off-camera lighting to enhance photos. My editing style is minimalistic and natural. I purposely avoid trends, fads, etc. for a timeless, true-to-life look.

Where are you based and do you travel?

I'm based in Tucson, but love to travel. Please give me an excuse to hop in a plane or go on a road trip! I keep travel expenses minimal, and for a few select locations, travel fees may be waived.

When will we get our photos?

You will receive an online gallery link with all your photos within a maximum 8 weeks (sometimes less depending on the season of your wedding). You can download all the photos from the gallery to print and share them, choose your favorites, and order prints.

Do you offer any discounts?

Yes! I offer a 5% discount for those who have served in the military, our selfless and undervalued educators, and those who serve as first responders. This discount is my way of thanking those who put serving their community first and foremost in their careers.

What happens if you get sick or injured right before our wedding day?

I’ve been extremely fortunate in that I have never been unable to attend and capture a wedding in my 16+ year career. In the event of an emergency, injury, or illness, I rely on the large, talented community of professional wedding photographers in Tucson who “have each others’ backs”. There are a select few whose styles are similar to my own, and I would check their availability first. In the event none of those are available, I would make sure someone is there to capture the day.

Do you have backup equipment?

Absolutely. For every shoot, I carry two camera bodies and several lenses. Inside each camera are two memory cards, making identical copies of every photo I take.

Are retainers refundable?

Unfortunately if a wedding is cancelled, retainers are non-refundable. Since a retainer reserves the full day, I often have to turn away potential clients inquiring about the same date. In the event of a cancellation, the retainer only partially reimburses me for this loss. Date changes are more flexible, and handled on a case-by-case basis.
