Rachel & Jacob | Lost Dutchman State Park | Phoenix Engagement Photographer

Engagements

Believe it or not, in my 16 years as an Arizona Engagement Photographer this was my first time shooting at Lost Dutchman! I've hiked and backpacked through the Superstition Mountains before, but didn't know what I was missing having never visited this beautiful spot. The main attraction of Lost Dutchman State Park is unmistakable - the most photogenic and symmetrical outcropping of rock spires I've seen anywhere in AZ. As the sun sets and lights up the rocks, it looks like a massive red-gold crown. It's hard to capture just how prominent this feature is, towering over you as you walk down one of the many trails. We did this session the day after a storm had blown through, so we had the added bonus of snow on Four Peaks in the distance. I absolutely loved working with Rachel and Jacob for this session and I truly can't wait for their wedding at El Rancho Robles in November.
